    Begin the tour at the Peoria Area Riverfront Visitors Center at 110 NE Water St Peoria, IL 61602-1322.
    Turn south on Water and to the Northeast Side will be your first attraction, the former Rock Island Railroad Depot.

  • The Rock Island Depot

    The Rock Island Depot
    This location is currently a bar called Martini's.
    It was built in 1900. In 1887, almost 700 passengers leaving Peoria hit a ditch and caught fire in Chatsworth, IL. More than 80 passengers died and 120 were injured. After hearing news of the accident, the Rock Island Depot was temporarily turned into a hospital/morgue. The screams of family members bounced off the stone walls. Allegedly, the ghost of a brakeman often appears.

  • Hotel Pere Marquette

    Hotel Pere Marquette
    This 12-story hotel is home to another spirit. According to some, a workman who died during construction haunted the location. Rumor has it, his appearance is gruesome due to breaking his neck at a great angle. One other spirit has called this place home. The "Green Lady," who was killed by her boyfriend and stuffed in a utility closet, can still be found there.

    The Madison Theater is home to at least three ghosts. An actor who was killed behind the theater allegedly still paces the stage. As well as a child who was murdered in the theater after being lured from his parents. The last being an usher. Together, the three continue to relive their final moments.
  • Old Lady Gray

    Old Lady Gray
    Old Lady Gray and her husband had a home at this location. Her nephew had gave way to alcohol and gambling and after bailing him out one too many times, she threw him out of their house. He was found dead in the Illinois River afterwards. After cursing the land, every occupant thereafter suffered tragedy or misfortune. This includes some who worked at the current building, the Peoria Public Library. Three different library workers have died. Two are thought to still haunt the location
  • The Commerce Bank Building

    The Commerce Bank Building
    Where a ghost allegedly has made the 7th floor his permanent haunting ground. You can recognize him by his strong aroma of whiskey. Apparently, he is a former maintenance work who fell from a window to his death while drunk. There are rumors that he can be seen leaning out the window.
