One Direction is Formed
Thanks to the hit show X-Factor U.K. these five boys were discovered and grouped together after being eliminated from the solo category. With the goal of winning as a team they began to form real connections with each other. -
First Album: Up All Night
After ending up in third place in the X-Factor, the group decided to stick together and become an official band with their first album "Up All Night" including their hit song "What Makes You Beautiful." -
Second Album: Take Me Home
After a successful first album the band released their second one, reaching a new level of success they hadn't seen before. -
Third Album: Midnight Memories
At this point the boys were getting the hang of it. Some fans refer to this time period as their "prime" others disagree. -
Fourth Album: Four
Hence the name, the band released their fourth album which received platinum status and reached #1 in 67 countries. This would be the last album the band would record with five members. -
Final Album: Made in the A.M.
On March 25, 2015 Zayn announced he was leaving the band for his mental health. The remaining members decided to give their fans one last goodbye album. -
Hiatus
After one last performance on X-Factor, bringing their One Direction career full circle, they announced they would be going on an 18 month break. Since then they have not reunited and all members have since released solo music. -
Harry's First Solo Album
After two years Styles' was the third member to release solo music. His first self-titled album "Harry Styles" was written in Jamaica and won multiple awards but was not "a commercial success" according to Styles. -
Dunkirk Release
Venturing into acting Styles was cast in Dunkirk with a minor role. As his first movie experience fans were delighted to see him step out of his comfort zone. The movie was directed by Christopher Nolan and included big names like Cillian Murphy, Barry Keoghan and more. -
Met Gala
Working with stylist Harry Lambert and designer Alessandro Michele, Styles graced the world with his sheer, lace bodysuit at the 2019 Met Gala. -
Sophomore Album: Fine Line
In late 2019 Styles announced the release of his second album "Fine Line". The cover was a photo taken with a fisheye lens and seemed to be "his best work" to many fans. This album is accredited for his first Grammy Win. -
Vogue Cover
Breaking records Styles became the first solo male cover star of Vogue in the magazine's 128-year history. To add onto the record, Styles posed for the cover in a beautiful blue dress designed by Gucci's Alessandro Michele. -
Eternals Release
In November Styles pleasingly shocked fans when he appeared in a cameo on the Marvel Production, "Eternals". This was a big deal to fans as his second acting experience but also coming aboard such a large franchise as Marvel. -
Pleasing
Entering his entrepreneurial era, Styles came out with a luxury brand named Pleasing. The brand since has made apparel, nail polish, skincare and more. The brand collaborated with nonprofits and charities to spread awareness on issues like global warming and homelessness. -
Harry's House
While touring his second album which was postponed due to COVID-19 he announced the release date for his third album. This album brought about a new era, with more fans than his last release. Harry's House also won two Grammys one being Album of the Year in 2023. -
Don't Worry Darling
His third acting role was as a main character in the thriller movie "Don't Worry Darling" directed by Olivia Wilde, who he was dating at the time. His co-stars included Florence Pugh, Chris Pine and more. -
My Policeman
Shortly after "Don't Worry Darling" Styles took on a larger role in the adaptation of "My Policeman" acting alongside
David Dawson and Emma Corrin. -
Love on Tour Ends
This tour was postponed due to COVID-19 from 2020 until September 2021. Styles toured until July 2023 filming movies, music videos, and a new album in between. He visited multiple continents playing for millions of fans for a total of 169 shows.
