Trojan War Summary
The war started because Helen was kidnapped. Odysseus was a part of this 10 year war. Odysseus fought against the Trojan and after him and the others lost against them. After the long ten year war Odysseus came up with a idea to trick the Trojans. Odysseus stood up and made a plan to make a horse and hide in it. When the Trojans saw the horse they thought it was a peace offering and all of a sudden Odysseus and the others attacked the Trojans and rescued Helen. -

Analysis: During the Trojan War Odysseus showed his characteristics of being a leader and creative. Odysseus showed his ability of being a leader by standing up and taking charge for the group to not give up. He showed his creativity by using his mind and though about making the horse. -

Lotus Eaters
Summary: Odysseus and his men went on the island and was given lotus to eat. Odysseus was thought it suspicious and he was curious. To find out the lotus made them forget the reason they were their for.
Analysis: This showed that Odysseus not only cared for his men but was always curious. He always thought about things that didn't seem right. But this also showed that he was too late just like it was too late for him to save his men from dying. -

Cyclops Summary
Summary:Odysseus and his men found a cave and they found food. Odysseus told them that they should wait to the owners comes back. There was a Cyclops that lived there and he eat some of they men. So Odysseus came up with a plan to trick the Cyclops and put it to sleep by giving him a drink. As the Cyclops was sleep Odysseus and the men still alive blind the Cyclops and found a way to escape back to the boat. -

Cyclops Analysis
Analysis:This showed that Odysseus always could have a plan. He was quick to make a plan for them to blind the Cyclops. This also showed his creativity by the way he got him and the rest of the men out of the cave. Also by Odysseus not wanting the men taking the food it showed he respected other people's property. -

Aeolos bag of wind Summary
Odysseus was tricked by Aleolos. Odysseus thought the bag that Aleolos have him was silver and gold but it was just a bag of wind. When Odysseus opened the bag him and his men were taken back to the island of Aeolus. After the men were taken back to the island Aeolus refuse to help them again. -

Aeolos bag of wind Analysis
This shows that Odysseus always wasn't a good leader (but no one's perfect). Odysseus put his guard down and put trust into Aleolos. This makes Odysseus later on more curious and cautions. Because Odysseus cared for his men he had to think before he did thing to protect him and his men. -

Circe Summary
Circe tricked Odysseus men into her trap by complementing them and giving them things.Odysseus knew something didn't seem right. The men were so caught up with everything they forgot that they were trying to get off the island. Later the men were turned into pigs and stuck in her trap. Circle tries to strike Odysseus but he over powered her. -

Circe Analysis
This story showed how Odysseus wasn't so trust worthy this time and he showed his leadership. Odysseus faught for his men which showed he cared for his men. Odysseus also changed his ways a lot because of what happened with Aeolos. Odysseus didn't want to be lied to again so he had to show his leadership.Odysseus plan after got 6 of his best men got killed but I didn't kill all of them so I showed his effort. -

Sirens Summary
Circe gave Odysseus things to do he had to listen to her. She told him that his men must wear beeswax in their ear and that he has a choice to get tied up or put in the beeswax too but he choose to get tied up to hear the sirens.Circe also told Odysseus that his men will be put through things and will have to fight against her at the end. But before he put the beeswax in his men ear he told them everything except the part about fight Circe. -

As Odysseus listens to the sirenshis men go through everything and when they got to Circle couldn't over powered her so 6 of Odysseus best men died. -

Sirens Analysis
They siren show Odysseus "soft side" it showed that the noise comforts him. It also showed how as he sacrifice his men it's peaceful to their death. This also showed how risky he was. Circe cod have killed all of them at the moment but he took a risk and once again he put his trust in Circe to not kill everyone. -

Scylla and Charybdis Summary
Odysseus and the rest of his men (alive) had to go through Scylla and Charybdis. Scylla is a 6 headed monster that ate the rest of the men. Charybdis is a whirlpool that destroyed and drowned the ship. But of course Odysseus is still alive because that was Circes plan to only have Odysseus by himself. -

Scylla and Charybdis Analysis
This showed that Odysseus fell into a trap again but this time no back up. Odysseus followed all the rules and got nothing good out of it. This just shows how Odysseus will give up things and people to survive. His sacrifices showed he takes lots of risk even when it's pulling him down. -

Suitors/Home Summary part 2
This left the Suitors shocked and almost embarrassed because none of them can do it but the old beggar could. After killed all the men he went home to his wife,Penelope. When he came in he revealed himself to her and she was cautious because the Suitors would always pretend to bed Odysseus. To prove that it was really Odysseus she told their servant to go move one of those beds. -

Helios’ cattle Summary
After Odysseus and his men got the warning from Circe they were on the land of the God of sun,Helios. As long as Odysseus and his men didn't break any rules they wouldn't be killed or punish but if they do they will be. The men didn't follow the rules and were killed by Zeus because Helios order him to. This left Odysseus the only one alive and back home just had Circe said would happen. -

This showed that Odysseus followed the rules. Through out the story Odysseus has followed the rules continuously. When he had to do what Circe said he followed her rules. Odysseus main focus was to stay protected and by him listening and not taking thought risk kept himself alive. He tried to do the same for his men too. -

Suitors/Home Summary
When Odysseus came home he found out that the Suitors tired to marry his wife. His wife was loyal and the she came up with a plan to make a contest of who can string Odysseus bow,knowing none of them can do it. So Odysseus came up with a plan to pretend he's a old beggar and to take them out. When he went to the contest he had someone lock the gates and get all the Women in their homes to protect them. When Odysseus used the bow he was able to string it. -

But the bed didn't move so she knew if it was really Odysseus he would be confused how the servant could move the bed because only they knew the bed couldn't move. After she gave a speech of how she was just curious to see if it's really him. -

Suitors/Home Analysis
This showed that Odysseus cared for women because he didn't want any of them to get hurt. Also this shows that he cares for Penelope because it's like he fought for her back back. When he got angry when she didn't automatically hung and kiss him and said the thing about moving the bed it showed that he needs her love.
