    Harriet Tubman was born March 10, 1819. Her birth name was Araminta Ross. Then her name was changed to Harriet Tubman after she was married. Harriet Tubman also had 8 other siblings.

    Harriet Tubman was hit in the head with a 2 pound lead weight. This happened because her master got mad and sturck her with the weight. She was punnished because she refused to obey her master. Afterwards, she had an occasional blackout for the rest of her life.

    Harriet Tubman brings her family to freedom in Canada. She also used her own money that she saved up and continued to help others escape. She never lost a single "passenger" while leading people to freedom. Because she was apart of the Underground Railroad, the slaves were considered passengers.

    Harriet Tubman was a spy. She would scout the camps of the South. She helped plan a Union atttack on the Confederates. She was also a camp nurse, and a camp cook. She had these jobs before she became a scout.

    During this time, the Union beats the Confederates and the Civil war ends. Also, Abraham Lincoln is assasinated. Harriet Tuban also fought during the Civil War.

    Harriet Tubman married Nelson Davis. Nelson Davis was a former black soilder and veteran of the Civil War(he was also taken in and taken care of by Harriet Tubman). After the war Nelson Davis was a brick layer, and eventually they fell in love.

    Harriet Tubman's husband David Nelson died. This happend 19 years later. Before he died, they lived a peacful life.

    Harriet Tubman bought land. She bought 25 acres of land which bordered her home in Auburn, New York. This is where she lived the rest of her life.

    Harriet Tubman died in Auburn, New York. She died of pneomonia. Pneomonia is caused by viruses, bacteria, and fungi.
