Harriet Tubman was born as a slave in 1819 in Dorchester County, Maryland.When Harriet Tubman was bron her name was Araminta Ross and her nick name was Minty. She had a father named Benjamin Ross and a mother named Harriet Green.

Harriet Tubman was hired by thsi woman called Miss Susan to be a nursemaid and then later to be a planter.Harriet Tumban soon was put to the field to work. The field were to hard to work in.

Harriet Tubman was one day working when she saw a slave that need help, she went to help and the overseer saw her and hit her in the head.
Harriet believed that her hair saved her becuase it was combed and was like a bushel basket.When she got hit in the head she start falling asleep and she believed it was a sign of god.

Harriet was 24 when she got married to John Tubman and he was a free black man.Harriet Tubman would change her name from Araminta to Harriet. She became really sick and Edward Brodess the slave owner tried to sell her but failed because the slave value was starting to go down.

Under grown rail road

Harriet Tubman work to help slave from other plantatoin. She never lost someone or never got lost in the railroads.She sometime would falll asleep but never got lost and no one ever got capture.

Escape

Harriet escape to north using the under ground rail roads to escpae. Harriet escaped with her brother to north. This is the beginning of her rail road escape plan.

Happy moment and bad moment

At this time Harriet Tubman help her brother Moss escape which was a great part of her live. Something bad that happend in her life was when she found out that her husband was marraid to another woman. This news were bad for her.

After the war Harriet Tubman lived in a poverty place because she was helping many slave escape. Harriet Tubman was really sick but never relized that she was really sick. Harriet Tubman saved all her brother and parent from slavery.

Harriet Tubman meet a Civil War veteran named Nelson Davis. After that she marraid Nelson davis in Central Presbyterian church. Nelson Davis and Harriet Tubman a adopt a baby girl named Gertie.

Dies

Harriet Tubman died of pneumonia on 10 March Harriet Tubam saved many slave from the worse thing. Harriet Tubman was a great woman because when she escape she could've stayed but she went back and saved slave
