    On the evening of March 1, 1932, famous air pilot, Charles Lindburgh's baby was kiddnapped! Charles put his son (Charlie) to bed upstairs, in his house. When Charles nurse went to check on him at 10 P.M, Charlie wasn't there! Charlie was returned on May 12, 1932, and unfortunately, he was dead. After two years, the police fpind the murderer of Charlie, Bruno Richard Hauptmann, and Bruno was executed.
  • Duffy starts school at Washington Grade School

    Back then, there was no Kindergarten, or K-4. They started school at 1st Grade. Also, Washington Grade Schhol is now apartments for the elderly.

It was based on the novel written by Margaret Mitchell. The movie has lots of black sterotypes. At the Capitol Theater in New York, it was averaged eleven thousand people were there.

    World War 2 lasted from 1939, to 1945. It was between the Allies (United States) , and the Axis (Germans). The result of this war led to an Allied victroy, which means the Americans won. The war had more than one hundrerd million people in it, from over thirty different countries! There were between fifty million, and eighty five million deaths!

    The blizzard of 1947, was one to remember. The city was paralyzed for three days! That horrenous blizzard took a total of 48 days to clean up! That blizzard brough in 18.1 inches of snow, 60 mph winds, and drifts of 10 ft!

    The Korean War was between South Korea, supported by the Untied Nation, and Nortth Korea, supoorted by the People's Republic of China and the Soviet Union. On the summer of 1950, the United States, and other countries from the United Nations tried to contain North orea's fast moving army. the Korean War ended on July 27, 1953.

    The First T.V. Remote The first color tv came out on December 13, 1953, and not many people cpuld afford it. Actually, the T.V. was released in 1965, with all the main shows, and Prime Time television. By 1970, half of the population owned a color tv. In 1975, EVERYONE had a color t.v. Before that, everyone owned a color tv.

    This was the first World Series that the Yankees did not win, out of the eight they played in. Hank Aaron had eleven hits, and three home runs in the total World Series! IN game seven, the Yankees didn;t score at all!
  • Segregation Riots With Father Groppi

    In the 1960s, Milwaukee's African Americans protested, boycotted, and foought legislative battles against segregation in schools, housing, and social clubs. Father Groppi was also involved in these segregation battles. Father Groppi was first assigned to St. Veronica's Church. Later in his life, he got interetsed in civil rights. Well, he got active in civil rights

    G Groppi's food market sells grocery, meat, seafood, deli, and much more. It has various wine tasting places, and sushi markets. 100 years is a log time for a grocery store to be around!
