  • The founding meeting was held.

    People founders based their program on the four principles that the Blueprint for Society offered as the ‘principal conditions for a stable society’ 1.inimum disruption of ecological processes
    2.maximum conservation of materials and energy
    3.a population in which recruitment equals loss
    4.a social system in which individuals can enjoy, rather than feel restricted by the firs
  • Establishment

    It was established in 1984 it started in New Zealand and brought to Europe, The Green Party came to the United States, then it was known as The Green Committees of Correspondence,
  • Green Committees of Correspondence

    Green Committees of Correspondence decided to form a new group called The Greens/Green Party USA,to mix educational, direction action and electoral activities in one organization. Some state Green parties did not like this choice and did not work with the G/GPUSA.
  • The GPOC

    The GPOC participated in a coalition with other third parties in Colorado, forming the Colorado Coalition for Fair and Open Elections (CoCoFOE).Itsucceeded in changing laws regarding candidate petition requirements, lowering the number of signatures needed to get on the ballot.
  • Presidential Election season

    The Greens working on the Nader for President campaign decided that it was an idea that time had come, and plans were made during the final period of that campaign for a meeting at Middleburg, Virginia to discuss the idea. 11 State Parties agreed to join the meeting, and the other party representatives went home to discuss this in their own states.
  • ASGP & G/GPUSA

    Mre local, regional, and statewide Green parties continued to form. Some of the parties joined themselves with both the ASGP and kept their connections with the G/GPUSA.
  • Green co-leader

    The Green co-leader Jeanette Fitzsimons began a nation-wide speaking tour on genetic engineering. He completed over 60 public meetings from Invercargill to Whangarei, speaking to crowds of up to 400 people. The tour ran until election.
  • 10 key values were ratified

    The ten key values were ratified at the Green Party convention in Denver 1.Grassroots Democracy

  • GPUS

    The GPUS was formed out of the Association of State Green Parties. The goal was to help existing state parties grow and to promote the formation of parties in all 51 states and colonies.
  • Womens RIghts

    people were committed to increasing participation of women in politics, government and leadership so they can change laws, make decisions, and create policy solutions that affect and will improve women's lives, and people are building the party so that Greens can be elected to office to do this.
  • Alameda Green party

    The big event was a huge San Francisco Peace March on the 18th, where about 150,000 people went out to express their disagreement to war with Iraq. Many Alameda Greens got together at the Fruitvale Bart station for the ride to Embarcadero & Market.
  • Presidential election

    Green Party General Counsel David Cobb won the party's presidential nomination while Nader ran as an independent candidate.
  • Presidential candidate debate

    AGreen Party presidential candidate debate was held in San Francisco. The Green Party of Alameda County, along with the San Francisco Green Party and the National Delegates Committee of the Green Party of California, supporting the Northern California Green Presidential Candidates debate. About 800 people went to the the debate with most paying donation of $10 to $20 to go to the forum.
  • Leader of the Green Party

    Mike Schrenier was elected as the leader of the Green Party. He was previously served on the committee of the board of directions of farm state.
  • AzGP

    The Arizona Green Party prevailed in federal court in a lawsuit for opening order against threatened barriers towards the Green campaign for ballot access.
  • Candidates

    The convention delegates elected Jill Stein and Cheri Honkala as our Presidential and Vice-presidential candidates.
