Draco is developed. Draco is a legal code based on the idea that all Athenians who were rich or poor were equally judged under the law.

Spartans conquered the neighboring region of Messenia and took over the land. They used the Messenians to be helots. Helots are people forced to stay on the land and work.

New more far fetching democratic reforms were introduced by solon who came to power during this time.

They battled this group for a couple of weeks and held off there army with only 300 but there lines were soon penetrated and Sparta feel.
