    The second Gold Rush

    The next gold rush began with the discoveryof gold at
    Halls Creek in Western Australia in 1885. It continued through the 1890s with spectacular finds in the south east of the state. In the late1890s, large amounts of gold were also found in Queensland at Mount Morgan.
