Paris Peace Conference
When the Allied powers all meet to decide the Peace Terms for the Central Powers. After WW1 when the Allies new they had won the war they all met in Versailles in France and decided the repercussions for Germany and the Central Powers and ultimately causing WW2. -
UN was Created
The United Nations was created after ww2 to keep peace around the globe. It started out with 51 members now has 193. The UN to this day is still getting involved and has kept big world powers out of war. The creation of the UN was to ensure something like WW1 and WW2 would never happen again. -
Creation of NATO
NATO was created by the US, Canada and western european countries to provide security from the Soviet Union. NATO is still a military alliance but the Soviet Union has fallen however it's job has not changed. NATO keeps peace between countries and is still meant that if a country like Russia becomes aggressive they can push them back. -
Iranian Nuclear Deal
US, UK, France, Russia, China and Germany all met to limit Iran from creating Nukes peacefully. For awhile Iran has been building Nukes and the claim it was for "peace" but other global nations thought that was not true. So they all met up and decided that Iran can oly have certain limitations when it comes to nuclear capability. -
UN Climate Change Conference
UN members all met up and discussed how to deal with climate change and to keep the earth safe. Climate change has been a big issue in today's world and leaders met up and discussed ways to stop pollution and how to adapt to climate change. -
US and Russia Talk Syria
The US and Russian Presidents met up to discuss how they can work together to help solve the Syrian Civil War. Vladimir Putin's Russian government and Barack Obama's/ Donald Trump's American government for a while has been supporting 2 opposing sides of Syrian people and has caused quite a bit of tension between the 2 countries.
