Prescriptions for glasses were not standard and were very expensive. they broke very easily and weren't comfortable. -
Besides a few more prescriptions and types not much had changed since the early 1800s they were slightly more available but were still quite pricy. Also still very fragile they were not very convenient. -
They hadn't changed much since the 1800s but with more prescriptions, they were beginning to be more common and were slightly cheaper. -
With many more designs for glasses, at this time they were cheaper and had so many more prescriptions. Also, they started making a lot of sunglasses. -
With styles popping out left and right people wore them for style just as much as they did for prescription use. They had them for all price ranges and were as affordable as you could need them to be. -
Now to the current day, there are so many types and styles. All different price ranges even sunglasses can be a prescription! But considering not that much had changed from the original glasses!!!
