  • On the way to Federal Hall

    At 12:30 , George arrived in a state coach with 2 aides . He was escorted by the Senate committee , Committee of house , Chancellor Robert Livingston , the French and Spanish ministers .
  • At the Senate Chamber

    Arriving at the Senate Chamber at 1:00 in the afternoon , military men make a walkway for George and his people to walk through . To where sits the 2 houses of congress . He was then welcomed by John Adams , the vice president .

    At 2:00 in the afternoon , Adam had finally decided it was time for Washington was ready to take an oath of office . They went out to the balcony , George had put his hand on the bible while taking an oath and kissed the bible after taking the oath . Washington bowed to the people and had gone back in the chamber .

    George was taken home to his mansion in a carriage and ate dinner alone.
