Mao Ze Dong was responsible for the deaths of 49 - 78 million people. Anyone opposing Mao would be executed or starved. Approximatly 30 million died of starvation. -
Cambodia
5000 mass graves discovered. 25% of population killed by Khmer Rouge. 2 million cambodians killed between 1975 - 1979. Well documented with over 10,000 photos and thousands of written records. -
East Timor
100,000 Killed, taken over by military. Used harsh tactics in order to force civillian cooperation, including rape, forced migration, forced military service, torture and murder. -
Sudan
Approximatly 200,000 killed by Muslim militia and government. Aimed at Christians initially, now aimed at Muslims. Deaths range from 9,000 to 400,000 final count is unknown. -
Rwanda
800,000 Tutsis slaughtered by Hutus. Ethnic division program by government created hatred towards Tutsi minority. 75% of Tutsi population was killed. Before the genocide 80% of Rwanda was Hutu and 14% were Tutsi. -
Bosnia
200,000 Muslims killed by Serbian Christians between 1995 and 1999. Mass killing of non-Serbs, Systematic killing, rape, burning of Mosques, and libraries. "Safe Areas" created in Bosnia but the failed because they were understaffed. -

Kosovo
400,000 displaced, unknown death count. Mainly Christian Serbs killing Muslims. Currently at peace because of intervention by international peacekeepers. Believed to be the first time action was taken in order to restory human rights to a minority group.
