Genghis creates a language

Genghis Khan organized the creation of a Mongolian language. This made communication much easier and led to the creation of writen law.

Unification of Mongols

Genghis Khan finally succeeded in unifying the Mongols. This may have been the most important part of his conquest.

Attacked the Xi Xia kingdom

Genghis led attacks on the kingdom of Xi Xia. It took his troops two years to conquer the land but he was victorious in the end.

Conquest of the Jin Dynasty

Period: Oct 21, 1211 to Oct 21, 1231

Genghis led his army on the Jin Dynasty. It took him nearly 20 years to conquer the great Jin Dynasty and wasn't completed until after his death. The conquered land that caught Genghis' interest was mostly farmland but there were also huge cities in the north.

Khwarizm Dynasty attack

Genghis Khan personally organized and executed the attack on the Khwarizm Dynasty. It was a three-pronged attack of 200,000 soldiers. This was in retaliation of an attack by the Khwarizm Dynasty on a Mongol diplomatic mission.

Death

Oct 21, 1227

Genghis dies on his way home on a victory campaign. This was celebrating a victory over the central asias.
