    - He asked God for wisdom.
    - He was allowed to build the temple to God.
  • The Kingdom Divides

    • After Solomon's death, the Northern and Southern tribes divied.
    • The Northen kingdom became Samaria and the Southern bacame Judah.
  • The Northern Kingdom Period

    930 BC–586 BC
    -Historians refer to ancient Israel as the Northern Kingdom or the Kingdom of Samaria to tell it from the Southern Kingdom of Judah.
    - The territory of the Kingdom of Israel comprised the territories of the tribes of Zebulun, Issachar, Asher, Naphtali, Dan, Manasseh, Ephraim, Reuben and Gad.
  • The Southern Kingdom Period

    930 BC–586 BC
    - The House of David were leaders of Judah.
    - The capital was Jeruselum and they spoke Hebrew.
  • The Exile

    -Daniel was one of the people first exiled to Babylon.
    -4,600 where estimated as the total exiled from Judah.

    Genesis 21-27 -Isac had two sons who were twins named Jacob and Esau
    - He was almost sacrificed to God as a child, to prove Abraham's faith.

    - Abraham used to be named Abram but God changed his name
    - He was 100 when Isac was born

    • Job was tested by God and everything he had was taken from him.
    • It tells how god is compassionate and merciful.

    - It rained for 40 days and nights

    Day 1 - God created the heavens and the earth and day and night
    Day 2 - God creates the sky.
    Day 3 - God creates dry land
    Day 4 - God creates all the stars and heavenly bodies.
    Day 5 - God creates all life that lives in the water.
    Day 6 - God creates all the creatures that live on dry land.
    Day 7 - God rests.
