    Women in Medieval Times

    Women had little or no role to play within the country. In the towns, society would have told them what jobs a woman could do and her role in a medieval village which would have been to support her husband.

    During World War II, over 350,000 women served in the U.S. Armed Forces, both at home and abroad. Between 1940 and 1945, the percent of women in the U.S. workforce increased from 27% to nearly 37 % and by 1945 nearly 1/4 married women worked outside their homes.
