    Battles of Lexington and Concord
    The Minuteman and the British assembled for a big fight at the city of Lexington. The British had a swift victory over the Minutemen and they retreated to Conord. At concord the British were met with a fierce battle and were beaten by the Minutemen.   • Battle of Fort Ticonderoga

    Battle of Fort Ticonderoga
    The Americans held Fort Ticonderoga which was one of the last northern forts held by the Americans. The British brought a large and well equipped army of 10,000 against a smaller and much less well equipped army of militia men and colonials which was only about 3,000 men. The British set of cannons and began firing on American positions so St. Clair ordered his men to make a stealthy retreat.

    British wanted to occupy a city. They knew they were going to engage colonists but only thought they would receive little resistance. The Colonists fortified their positions and won the battle. The patriots began to think there was no need for a uniform army

    British General had plans of invading America through Canada. Most of his army had began to melt away due to hunger, disease, etc. Battle had started and most of the British officers were picked off. The General suffered a massive defeat and was forced to retreat.
  • Siege of Charleston

    Siege of Charleston
    Stalemate in the northern US. British were the victors of the siege. Patriot morale dropped considerably since there was no more opposition.
  • Kings Mountain

    The patriots and the British were in a stalemate. The patriots won overtaking the mountain.
