In the spring 10,000 hindus and muslims went to Amritsar and prayed and listened to political speeches, the demonstration viewed it as a nationalist outburst and called the british. Amritsar Massacre, they killed about 400 and wounded 1200 because of the British commander in Amritsar. -

Gandhi organized a demonstration to defy the hatred of the salt act. The salt act were made by britain and it was that the indians could only buy salt from the government and had to pay sales tax for the salt. Gandhi and his people walked 240 to the seacoast to start making their own salt from the sea water. -
