Mouse Trap
I loved setting up the physical pieces of the trap and seeing how they all interacted with one another to eventually trap one of the players. This game was exhilarating for me as a 6 year old.

Mario Kart 64
Mario Kart 64 was my go to game to play with friends. The sound track/effects were my favourite part, especially the sound of the invincibility star. My friends and I feel a lot of nostalgia for Mario Kart and we still play it routinely.

The Simpsons: Road Rage
I played Road Rage so much I broke my PS2 console and the game disc itself. My love for the television show had a big impact on my love for the game. The glitches in the environment were always funny.

Magic: The Gathering
My partner taught me how to play Magic. It was something we could do together and I was interested in the aesthetic of the card art. It introduced me to new game mechanics, e.g. summoning sickness.

South Park: The Stick of Truth
I was excited when South Park released Stick of Truth. The humour was on point, but the partial censoring was frustrating. I also found it was too easy to heal yourself during combat.

P.T. (Silent Hills playable teaser)
I knew all the background information on P.T. before playing, but it was still terrifying. It was my first time playing a horror game in first-person perspective. I had to look up solutions to most of the riddles as it was a very difficult game.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons
The timing (unplanned) of the game’s release during COVID-19 was perfect. The online aspect allowed me to connect with friends at a time when I felt most disconnected.

Little Nightmares
The visual aesthetic and horror themes drew me to this game. Large opponents and environments made you, as the protagonist, feel vulnerable. I also really enjoyed the puzzle design.
