    This is not the exact date but the years are correct. This war ended in 1763. It was called the 7 year war. This war was over the land in North America. The French wanted the land to get the furs and reasoucers. The colonists wanted the land to live and grow on.So natural the Indians sided with the French.The colonists were okay with the war because they thought the would be able to settle if they fought the war.

    This was the treaty that ended the war. The Brittish won the war. The treaty gave the Brittish all the land to the east of the Mississippi River and Spain got the otherside. It allowed the seltters to move westward and expand like the wanted.

    The Proclamation was document that said the colonists could not selttle past the Appalachian Mountains. After the war Britian was in a big debt and they needed money. The colonists were not happy because the whole reason they fought was so they could move west-ward but now they could not. This was the first time they felt hostaly from Britian.

    The Sugar Act is a tax that taxed all imported goods that the british put on the colonies to help pay off the debt. The colonist were not as affected as the british wanted because it mostly effected the merchants.

    This tax that required all legal and commerical documents to pay a tax. To prove they payed the tax the had to have a offical stamp. The british put the tax on the colonist because they still needed money and the sugar act was not working as well. The colonist were very mad at this because it was taking all their money and it had to be paid with silver which was the rarest kind of money to.

    This gave soliders the abailty to search ships and take whatever they wanted. They could also take the money that was hidden on the ships. The colonist were not as affected as the merchants were but they still thought it was a invasion of their pravicy and did not like it.

    This Tax forced tax on all house hold items. The tax effected eyerone and it took a lot of their. Again the british did this to help them get out of debt from the French and Indian War.

    This act forced all colonists to provied housing for all british soliders. They had to give them their own room, blankets, food,and lighting, The colonists HATED this but nothing could be done.

    This was a little corral between armed colonist and armed soliders. No one knows who shot first but in the end 5 colonists were killed and 2 soliders were found gulity of manslughter. IT was not thought a massacre until Sam Adams said it was a massacre to get the colonists mad and pumped aganist the british.

    This was when we were in the tea bussiness and then british undercut us. This means they lowered all their prices to cut us out if the bussiness. The colonists lost alot of money because of it.

    The Sons of Liberty sunk onto british ships whereing indian cholthes and dumped over 90,000 pounds of tea into the habor. The british were so mad and also we tared british goverment of workers feathered them and poured endless tea down their mounts and burnt them.

    The colonist were not allowed to hold townmeetings, and they closed the port of Boston. The colonits were furious and this was when they first really got into declearing indepences. Then causing the First Continental Congress to meet they talked about ways to repal the act and they also stoped trade with Britian. The colonies began to unify saying " No Taxition without Represtation" meaning unless they got a say in the goverment they should not be taxed. This saying became a rallying cry.

    After trying to repeal the Intolerable Acts but the british held ferm and even increased restrictions on trade and sent more troops. A speech givien by Patrick Henery who exepted war; he said " Give me Liberty or Give me Death." This got everyone riled up for indepences.

    These were the first battles of the war. The battle of Lexington was the " Shot herd around the world" and the British won that battle. But they then met up with 7,000 minunte men and got defeated in concord.

    The battle of bunker waas a very bad battle, the americans were renning low on gun powder and were told "Don't shoot till you see the whites of there eyes." The british wanted the land because they could the ports and have control of them. Americans were forced to retreat and lost that battle

    This was a turning point in the war . In this war we had the French help and they got the spanish to help. This gave us more hope and encourged us to win this battle.

    This was the worste winter ever. Washtington's army was cold hungry and dying because of it. They needed food, chlothes, warmth. Most of the people died in the valley than in the war.

    This was the last battle of the war. It lasted 3 weeks and we had won the war and our independence.
