    In 1892, his was the beginning of a strong ruthless dictator. He was born into a Spanish Naval family. He went to an infantry school in Toledo and received below average grades this is ironic he became the strongest militaristic leaders to ever live.

    In 1926, Francisco Franco was recognized for his military victories over Moroccan war chiefs leading rebellions against the Spanish. He was promoted to Brigadier General and received a high amount of respect throughout Spain.

    In 1934, Asturian miners went on Strike. Following this, Franco and his troops went and fought against the Miners. In the aftermath 1,500 miners were estimated to be killed while another 200 were estimated to be imprisoned and raped by Franco's troops.

    In July of 1940, Franco created 190 concentration camps holding around 170,000 troops. These prisoners were either republican ex-combatants of the Spanish Republican Army, Spanish Republican Air Force or the Spanish Republican Navy, as well as political dissidents, homosexuals, and regular convicts. The main function of the camps was to detain but those who were named as "unrecoverable" were killed

    Francisco Franco was a fierce and unforgiving dictator. Concentration camps, declaring himself king, and the fact that there was a pact made so the people of Spain would not bring him up. Even 40 years after his rule, the people of Spain can still feel the effects of what he did to Spain.
