The Battles of Lexington and Concord
Paul Revere rode in to warn the colonists of the British troops. The colonial militiamen and the British were face to face in Lexington. Here is where the famous "shot heard around the world" took place. Someone shot, no one knows who but someone shot their gun and once that happened the British and colonial militiamen laid fire, there was smoke everywhere. This sparked the beginning of the Revolutionary War. -

The Second Continental Congress signed the Declaration of Independence in the Pennsylvania State House. -
The Winter at Valley Forge
After losing the capital of Philadelphia, George Washington and his troops moved to Valley Forge, twenty miles from Philadelphia. They stayed at Valley Forge for about six months, and it was an awful six months because a lot of Washington's lacked the proper clothing for the freezing cold, rations ran low, blankets ran low, diseases would spread, just anything awful happened here. -

George Washington died in his bed after suffering from an illness and blood letting. -

Thomas Jefferson and John Adams were running against each other, Thomas Jefferson won in the end and this election was the first peaceful transition of political power between opposing parties. -
Marbury vs Madison
Marbury forced Madison to deliver his commision claiming it was illegal not to do so. The Supreme Court did not comply with Marbury's case. This showed that courts have the power strike down laws that they find to be unconstitutional. -

Benjamin Harrison opened up the Oklahoma Native American territory to the white settlers. They all raced to claim the land as fast as they could before it was all taken. Soon enough, it was no longer Native American territory. -

Built on the West side, Angel Island served to process mainly Asian immigrants which were subject to a lot of harassment in the form of long integrations and detentions. -

While in prison, Hitler wrote basically an autobiography showing his ideologies and the two parts he wrote went all the way from his young age up to WWI, it is kind of fun to read just to see how genuinely racist the dude was. -
The Dust Bowl Begins
Over farming led to the nutrients in most the soul in a few western states that then resulted there to be a massive amount of dust being able to be lifted in the air and literally became dust blizzards. -

Governor Roosevelt saw his chance to rise and help in the middle of the great depression with promises of a bank holiday and other useful stuff to help the country get out of it. -
The Bombing of Pearl Harbor
The Japanese flew planes and blew to smithereens the U.S. Naval base Pearl Harbor. A literal ton of ships, planes and civilians were all destroyed in this unnecessary attack. Never attack America is always the lesson at the end. -
The Battle of Iwo Jima
U.S. forces invaded the island of Iwo Jima via amphibious invasion. They were met with guerrilla warfare in the mountains but still killed almost 93% of the forces on that island. The battle lasted five weeks of us invading and them hiding in the mountains. Don't mess with America.
