    Started because the president refused to step down from power

  • People begin leaving Syria and become refugees.

    Many people decide to flee Syria many going into neighboring countries such as Lebanon.

  • The number of Syrian refugees increases.

    The amount of refugees becomes 1 million people.

  • Lebanese government agrees to register refugees.

  • 6,000 people were leaving Syria each day.

    The United Nations Refugee Agency reported that about 6,000 people leave Syria each day.

  • A new immigrant crisis is created.

    Now instead of just having Syrian refugees people are beginning to leave Iraq because ISIS has taken over the land.

  • ISIS expands causing more refugees to flee their home countries.

    Barack Obama agreed to US airstrikes against ISIS to keep ISIS from gaining more power and to make it so that less people have to immigrate to other places.

  • Jordan stops taking refugees.

    Since Jordan is a neighboring country to Syria refugees began fleeing into the country until it became overpopulated.

  • EU unable to make agreement over migrant crisis.

  • ISIS controls parts of Syrian and Iraq

    This causes people to want to leave these countries.
