  • Change

this event is change and not continuity because it was a one-time event that hasn't occurred since 1940. if this was a yearly season it would be a contiunity.
  • The Grapes of Wrath

    The Grapes of Wrath
Between 1930 and 1940, the southwestern Great Plains region of the United States suffered a severe drought.
Most of the settlers farmed their land or grazed cattle. The farmers plowed the prairie grasses and planted dry land wheat. As the demand for wheat products grew, cattle grazing was reduced, and millions more acres were plowed and planted.
  • production increase due to WWII

    production increase due to WWII
Farmers Produce More Food for War in World War II. As the war approached, it got worse for farmers before it got better. Farming exports fell 30 to 40 percent below the average of the ten depression years that preceded the war. Grain exports, for example, fell 30 percent in one year between September 1939 and 1940.
  • Continuity

this event is continuity because even tho it was a period of time the farmers just continued too produce crops at the same pace due to all the machinery, as time goes on the population becomes more demanding.
