When it all started

First Home
Mamma and Papa Bear got their first home together, A duplex. Here they started a strong support system with their neighbors. The neighbors help them out in any way possible -
Addition to family
Mamma and Papa Bear added a companion, Bear a dog to their family. He is their first "child". (Baby Bear and Bear get along so well, they are the best of friends at home) -
Wedding Bells
Mamma and Papa Bear tied the knot with their neighbors, family and friends to support them. They got married at a Catholic church since Papa Bear is catholic. (They have not yet introduced Baby Bear to the church system since they don't want him to catch a cold with all the people around). -
Mama Bear found out she is pregnant
All of Mamma and Papa Bear's family were so excited to learn about the new addition to the family -
Unhappy news
Mamma and Papa bear find out that their new baby bear has a heart defect. This is devistating to the new parents. It causes stress on mom the most, but with help from their brothers and sisters and own parents they find a way to stay strong -
Baby Bear is born
Mamma and Papa Bears parents drove up to see the new bundle of joy. Baby Bear had to spend a while in the NICU which was hard emotionally on Mamma and Papa Bear. -
Babies first surgery
Baby Bear has his first heart surgery. SInce this is a longer stay the family got to know the nurses and doctors at Children's Hospital and builds a trusting relationship with them -
Second Surgery
Baby Bear has his second heart surgery. Mamma and Papa Bear loved the experience at the hospital since they had the relationship with the nurses and doctors already. They did not enjoy their hospital experience when they didn't know the staff, but knew when to speak up and ask for clarificaiton on procedures -
Another surgery
Baby Bear comes back to Children's for a Chordee without hypospadias repair. Baby Bear goings through the surgery very well since he is used to the hospital settings. Mom and dad were less stressed since this wasn't as big of a surgery as his past. Mom and dad's parents are calling to check in to see how Baby Bear's surgery went
