    T.T. and C.T. meet
    T.T. and C.T. meet in Milwaukee, WI for the first time at their workplace. They both work as home nurses in and around Milwaukee.

    C.T. and T.T. move in together in their first home as a couple. Their home is in Oak Creek, WI.
  • First daugter!

    First daugter!
    K.T. was born in Milwaukee, WI. This is T.T. and C.T. first child. There were no significant problems during labor or birth, K.T. was a healthy baby born at term. Later in childhood, she developed asthma and scoliosis. She had her tonsils and adnoids removed when she was 5 years old. K.T. is very involved in athletics. She enjoys playing basketball, volleyball, and cheerleading. She has not let her scoliosis or asthma get in the way of her continuous activity!

    The family decided to get a Shih tzu as their first family pet.
  • First Son!

    C.T. and T.T. give birth to their second child and first son, J.T. There were no significant problems during labor or birth. J.T. develops asthma in early childhood. It is kept under control.

    The family makes a dedicated effort to sit at the dinner table as a family at least 5 times a week.

    -CT, 28 years old, in good health, father to 3 children
    -TT, 27 years old, in good health, mother to 3 children
    -KT, 11 years old, recent scoliosis correction surgery and has controlled asthma but otherwise in good health, oldest child in family
    -JT, 6 years old, has asthma but otherwise good health, middle child of 3
    -MT, 6 months old, complications from birth, youngest child Ecogram:
    -Two siblings on mother's side that are very close to the family.
    -Both parents mother's alive.
  • C.T. Goes Back to Schol

    C.T. decides to go back to school for a two-year nursing degree. He is still attending Milwaukee Area Technical College for thsi degree as a part time student. He is currently taking 6 credits.
  • K.T. Scoliosis Correction

    K.T. Scoliosis Correction
    K.T. is scheduled for surgery to have her scoliosis condition corrected. The family was was torn when T.T. went into labor that day as well, but luckily K.T.'s surgery was also in Children's Hospital which was were M.T. was planned to be born. The family was able to support both procedures.
  • Third Child!

    M.T. is born to C.T. and T.T. making him their third child together. During the birth, M.T. had an intercranial bleed. This bleed was a grade 4. He was also born premature at 27 weeks gestation.
  • M.T. Recieves a Ventricular Reservoir

    M.T. Recieves a Ventricular Reservoir
    M.T. goes into surgery to have a left ventricular reservoir placed to allieviate the pressure in his brain from the bleed. This surgery went well and there were no complications.
  • M.T. Goes Home!

    M.T. leaves the NICU after speading 9 weeks there. His stay was extended longer than expected related to complications of pulmonary hypertension and respiratory distress syndrom.
  • Social Systems

    Social Systems
    Since M.T. was born, C.T. and T.T. have joined support groups both through their church and online. They reported that it has greatly helped them through the past few difficult months as they work with Children's Hospital to help M.T. They have become very familiar with some of the staff members at Children's Hospital and are confident in trusting them with their children's care.
  • Physical Therapy Session

    Physical Therapy Session
    M.T. works with a physical therapist to stay up to date on his gross and fine motor skills. Their current focus is on tummy time so that M.T. continues to work on rolling over and lifting his head. They have also been working on sitting, M.T. requires minimal assisteance.
  • M.T. has 2nd Surgery

    M.T. has 2nd Surgery
    M.T. has a second surgery to remove the left ventricular reservoir and to place a ventricular peritoneal shunt. This surgery went well and did not result in any complications. M.T. will spend a few nights in the hospital for monitoring.
