Benito Amilicare Andrea Mussolini was born in Predappio, which is a small village in Romanga,Italy. His Father was a blacksmith named Alessandro Mussolini, and his mother, Rosa Mussolini was a catholic school teacher.

Mussolini joined the armed forces and spent seventeen months in the trenches before being wounded in Febuary, 1917. After he was wounded he wen back to wiring newspaper articles to spread encouragement amoung Italy.

Mussolini formed his first Facist squad and they adopted the axe and rod symbol, which is the symbol of authority in ancient Rome.

On this date the Communists assembeled in the Milanese arena under red banners. The police and troops stood in awe and had "grounded arms". It was then that a facsist squad came in with revolvers in waist belts. The communists came at the squad and the little squad was like a pack of wolfs tearing thorough sheep.

The fascists had little to no success at first in elections. In the election in milan he had only recived aprox. 5,000 votes out of the 270,000votes cast. Mussolini was thinking of abandoning politics at this time, but he did not because of several reasons.

20,000 poorly equipped black shirts marched on rome . The Italian Armhy could have easily overwhelmed these Black Shirts. Instead Benito Mussolini was made the prime minister.

The grand council had said that the majority of the national militia should be fascist, so the squads were forced to become part of the national militia.

Fascists began to alter many italian customs and one of their first steps was to introduce a fascist calender. the next was doing a salute instaed of a hand shake, and each became more pointless as it went on. -
A law was passed that gave legality to acts of violence angainst anything whatsoever that a fascist wished to call "opposition".

Mussolini was executed and his mistress were executed both on the same date. His body was hung upside down from an Esso gas station. His body was spat upon, shot, and kicked.
