  • Moving into Maple

    Moving into Maple
    Phase one is the small building we call "Maple." We call the building "Maple" because it is by a beautiful maple tree. Greenspire moved to the maple building on December 27, 2010. School stated there in the fall in 2011 to 2012. 19 six graders and 20 seventh graders came to the very first year of greenspire of nervousness and excitement find some friends and to learn for their future. The next year there were 24 eighth graders walking around greenspire with 12 six graders and 24 seventh graders
  • Greenhouse Construction Begins

    Greenhouse Construction Begins
    The greenhouse is a huge part of the Greenspire School and our curriculum. We are a "green school" and our legacy is to learn to appreciate the world and nature around us. We use the greenhouse for a number of things, from storing plants and gardening in the winter, to learning valuable lessons about the beautiful world and plants around us. When we work in the greenhouse it’s all hands on so we have to prepare ourselves to get dirty.

    The first year of Greenspire.
    The 2011 school year was the first year of Greenspire School. It was in the Maple building. There were 19 six graders and 20 seven graders.
  • Construction of the Greenhouse is finished

    Construction of the Greenhouse is finished
    When the greenhouse was completed the school started growing plants and also science class was held in it.
  • Long Lake Elementery

    Long Lake Elementery
    In the fall of 2012 Greenspire began leasing the old Long Lake Elementary. Long Lake’s purpose was to provide enough space for all the students while the new school was being built. Long Lake was spacious, with long corridors and large class rooms. The best part was the huge gym and a play ground.

    The 2012 to 2013 school year was the second year of Greenspire. There were 12 six graders, 29 seven graders and 24 eighth graders.
  • The first Greenspire STEM Night.

    During the second year of Greenspire, the school had a fundraiser called STEM Night (Science,Technology,Enginearing and Mathmathmatics).
  • Groundbreaking Ceremony

    Groundbreaking Ceremony
    The groundbreaking ceremony was a ceremony to commemerate the beginging of the construction of Spruce. Greenspire’s Phase III or Spruce building began construction on February 6, 2013 and was finished and ready to be moved into by January 13, 2014. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on April 22, 2014 to celebrate the new building. With three classrooms, a state of the arts science lab, and a spacious coat room, Greenspire’s Spruce building is a well constructed and welcoming building!
  • Plant sale

    Plants were grown in the greenhouse and sold to the public.
  • Greenspire's first 8th Grade Graduation.

    Greenspire's first 8th Grade Graduation.
    Greensire's first class of 8th graders graduated from The Greenspire School. The graduation was in the phase I building Maple building and outside.

    The third year of The Greenspire School began in September of 2013 and ended in June 2014.
  • Greenspire Leaves Long Lake

    Greenspire moved out of the Long Lake building and into the newly opened Spruce building.
  • Greenspire Phase III Spruce Building Opens

    Greenspire Phase III Spruce Building Opens
    On this date we moved into the Spruce Building, starting a new era. The Spruce building is a all-natural building made from earth friendly materiels and non-harmful materiels. We made it so that kids can stay and respect the earth and learn too. We have a state of the art science lab with many modern and eccological options.
  • Earth Day Ribbon Cutting

    Earth Day Ribbon Cutting
    This date was the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Spruce building. It was held on Earth Day.
  • Chicken Coop Remodel

    Corey, the outdoor education teacher helped kids build a chicken coop. The chickens returned to Greenspire and live in their newly remodeled coop.
  • Recreational Courts done! Dec. 17 2015

    he school now has its own Volleyball,Octaball, Basketball and soccer court. All the courts are used regularly.
