    The signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776 was one of the top four events in the American Revolution, because it explains to the world why the colonies are separating from Great Britain. With the Declaration of Independence, the colonies were able to create their own government that was a democracy. Not a monarchy. The colonies didn’t have a say in taxes and laws under the British monarchy. They wanted to be able to have a say in the government.

In Pennsylvania, Washington only had a couple thousand men. The pamphlet clearly motivated Washington’s men to fight and gain hope. The Crisis affected the American Revolution because the American men were motivated by it to go and fight in Trenton.

France was an ally for the United States in the battle.The French also gave many things to the Americans.

They gained hope, and were they went on to create a successful army and eventually win the war.
