The signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776 was one of the top four events in the American Revolution, because it explains to the world why the colonies are separating from Great Britain. With the Declaration of Independence, the colonies were able to create their own government that was a democracy. Not a monarchy. The colonies didn’t have a say in taxes and laws under the British monarchy. They wanted to be able to have a say in the government. -

The Crisis was a great pamphlet that was written by Thomas Paine because it affected the American Revolution and the soldiers of America. Washington had read The Crisis to his men, because they had lost hope. He wanted them to gain hope and fight. The reason why they has lost their hope was because in New York, the Americans lost the war against the British. Not only did they lose the war, but they lost several people from their army. -

The British had lost 377 men, while the Americans lost about 1,407 men. Not only had the men lost hope, but Washington had lost even more hope. In Pennsylvania, Washington only had a couple thousand men. The pamphlet clearly motivated Washington’s men to fight and gain hope. The Crisis affected the American Revolution because the American men were motivated by it to go and fight in Trenton. -

The Battle of Saratoga was an important event because the French became an ally of the United State. And it changed the war from Americans looking hopeless to them having a chance at winning. Burgoyne had reached Saratoga springs when he saw militia. Then, Burgoyne wanted and ordered to fight. France never really had a good relationship with Britain. France was an ally for the United States in the battle.The French also gave many things to the Americans. -

The French sent things such as money, weapons, troops, warships to the Americans. These things helped the Americans succeed. There was also another country that entered the war. This country was Spain. Spain was not an ally to the U.S. nor was it an ally to the British cause. The Americans changed the war with the Battle of Saratoga. They gained hope, and were they went on to create a successful army and eventually win the war. -

They were very mad that they had no representatives in the Parliament and for this reason, they agrued that the Parliament had no right to tax them. Similar problems kept happening and finally, in 1775, war broke out. The Treaty of Paris was one of the most important events because it was the thing that ended the deadly war that costed 24,700 Americans. -

The Treaty of Paris was one of the most significant during the American Revolution, because it ended the war and the Americans were finally an independent nation. The Americans have been fighting for independence since 1775, when the Revolutionary War began. It started in 1760, when King George III was crowned king. He wasn't a very smart man. Faced with problems on how to keep the colonists and Native Americans from killing each other, he decided to draw a line down the Appalachian Mountains. -

They were only allowed to settle on the east side. The settlers thought that this isn't fair, because the land east was mostly already settled. The only way they can find new land was to go west. Besides, settlers were already moving west. The proclamation was a little late. Shortly after this British and colonist problem, a Prime Minister from Britain thought the colonists should help pay the debts from the French and Indian War. The colonists sensed tryanny.
