    The Peace of Augsburg

    The Peace of Augsburg assisted in legalizing the coexistence of the Catholic church and Lutheranism. It gave state princes the freedom to choose between the two religions for their state. The treaty also allowed for emigration of upset citizens.

    30 Years War was a European, religious battle between the Protestant and Religious church. The war is said to have happened in 4 phases: the Bohemian, Swedish, Danish and French. The war and famine during that time resulted in over 8 million casualties. About 60% of the population died in certain areas of Germany.
