    There was a fleet of eleven ships called The First Fleet. On the 18th January 1788 the ships reached Botany Bay. There were 1,530 people and 736 convicts.
  • Gold Rush Australia

    A significant number of workers located areas where gold was found. Many gold finds were found in Australia which made people from around the world come to Australia. The first Australian gold rush occurred in May 1851 after Edward Hargraves said that he had found precious, shiny gold at a site he called Ophir. Gold was also able to be payed.
  • Eureka Rebellion

    The Eureka Rebellion was instigated by gold miners in Ballarat, Victoria and Australia. The Battle of the Eureka Stockade was fought between miners and the colonial forces of Australia.

    The White Australian Policy is a historical Policy. It was designed to exclude people who are Asian and also the Pacific Islands.
  • World War 1

    World War 1 was also known as the First World War. This war was the war to end all wars. It included more than 70 million military personnel and including 60 million Europeans that were mobilised in one of the largest wars in history. Over 90 million combatanants fought and 7 million civilians perished. It was on of the deadliest conflicts in history.
  • Anzac Day

    Anzac Day was a national day of rememberence of Australia a continent and New Zealand a country. The Australians and New Zealanders joined forces and served and died in the wars. The word ANZAC stands for Australian New Zealand Army Corps.
  • World War 2

    World War 2 also known as the Second World War was a war that lasted for six years. It involved more than 100 million people from over 30 countries. Approximately 11 million people were killed. World War 2 was made the deadliest conflict in human history. The Empire of Japan focused on dominating Asia and the Pacific
