This explorer was very interesting, in 1519 someone was the first person ever to circumnavigate the whole world.Thats not even the interesting part,his name was, he came from Spain, the interesting part is Magellan did this just for a challenge. 1542 was an amazing year. In 1542 Hernando de Soto decided he wanted power so he led a full sized army throughout all of the Southeast. Hernando began leading his army in present day Arkansas.This took place about 50 years after Columbus discovered America, making the southeast very hard to travel through, because there was many people throughout the route. -
Francis Drake
The year 1588 was a very big date. This date was almost the same as Magellan’s event, but Sir Francis Drake, this explorer had been killing and taking money of whoever passed his way, fighting mostly Spanish. When Drake made it around the world and got back to where he came from, England, then gave his money to queen of England, Queen Elizabeth.
