    This project will be a student choice assignment. I want every student to pick a specfic sport or hobby and find information about the history, rules, and find one video clip of the sport/activity. The presentation should last between 3-5 minutes (not including the video). We will have 2 research days in the library in order to help collect information. The rough draft will be due on July 14 th. Every student is required to pick a presentation day on July 7th.

    Today students will choose their presentation day. Students will draw numbers out of a hat to decide the order that they will sign up. The person with the lowest number goes first and the person with highest number will go last.

    Each student will write down 2 possible hobbies/sports to do their presentation on. Each student will write a brief description of why they choose their sport/activity and will turn it in before they leave today.
  • Research

    Part of this presentation is for studnet to practice researching a subject. Students should be able to use web and textbook resources in order to get up to date information about their activity/sport. This presentation will require you to list 2 sources of information about you topic. The librarians will go over school sources that are commonly used for research and how to use searches to find text based research articles. listen carefully. Students can research at the end of the presentation.

    Today our librarians will be here to assist you with any final questions you have about research and citing articles. Remember on June 14 rough drafts are due. Rough drafts should include citations for your presentation.

    Rough Drafts will be due today and then handed back with grammer corrections and suggestions to improve their presentation in the next class in order to be corrected for your presentations
