    During WWI despite how busy the men were on the field, they managed to take control of their personal time and entertain themselves. When the men weren't busy, they would sit in the trenches and play cards, sing together, play chess, write letters, tell jokes. They would also do work around the trenches that may have needed to be done, such as filling sandbags.

    Entertainment in the 20s
    During the 20's men had returned from war and were once again settling down to relax with family. This was all about family and togetherness. Many people went out to see films in the cinema, many would go at least once a week. A lot of other people would also go out to dance halls and dance to jazz, preforming dances such as the Charleston, Fox Trot and Black Bottom! People would also take part in sports, watching or playing as sports such as golf, tennis and swimming were popular at the time.

    Occuring in 1929, the great depression started affecting places all over, by 1930 places all around the world were affected and economies definitely started to crash. Despite the difficulty of living at this time, people managed to pull through. By the 30s talking movies became popular along with gangster films, comedies and musicals. Radio was popular as well, broadcasting a variety of stations many people enjoyed spending their time to listen to. Big bands and swing music were popular.

    Entertainment in WWII
    WWII started on Sept. 1, 1939 and lasted until 1949. Just like WWI, despite all the work the men put into fighting and defending their cause, entertainment was still a big part. During WWII soldiers oo field would participate in the same activities as they had back in WWI. Back home, listening to radio and watching films was also popular. Dancing and singing, playing piano and reading kept the souls lively.

    Though the wars have passed, there isn't much more to cover. Entertainment has evolved and new ways to enjoy life have been discovered. Current forms of entertainment include, video games, reading, joking, board games, listening to music, watching movies, browsing the web, texting your friend and so on. There are countless things to do to entertain yourself now-a-days, some ways very similar to the ways things were done back when.
