    The 1920s saw a boom in entertainment. Many Americans had extra money, so they turned to entertainers for recreation.

    Even though silent movies had been around since the begining of the 1900's they were barely becoming popular in the 1920's because people now had more money to spend. (Chaplin was the biggest star)

  • Broadway

    268 plays were offered in New York City in 1927. So it was obvious that broadway shows were pretty popular.

  • First Movie With Sound

    The Jazz singer was not the first movie but the first movie with sound.

  • Radio Airways

    Radio Airways
    During this time the radio airwaves improved and now half of the popular had a radio. (A lot back then) The radio was also a really good way of advertizment for people.

  • Mickey Mouse

    Mickey Mouse
    Mickey Mouse was now everyones favorite cartoon caracter after the showing of his first show called Steam Boat Willy.
