Catherine of Aragon Marries King Henry VIII

Catherine first married to Arthur Tudor, Henry's VIII older brother
She was 23 when she married Henry VIII. He was 18.
She had long red hair and blue eyes. She was very beautiful.
First baby boy died 52 days after being born
Died as a Princess Dowager, not a Queen of England

Interesting Facts
1. She married king Phillip the seconed of Spain, she was elleven years older than him.
2. The English parliment wouldn't crown King Phillip with Mary so he had no power in England
3. She burnt 300 protestants at the stake this led to the name of Bloody Mary
4. She Married Phillips of Spain so that she would have a sucssesor to the throne to not let it fall to her sister Eliabeth
5. Her marriage brought England into a war with France

Anne Boleyn Marries King Henry VIII

Anne wasnt the prettiest women for a king, she had moles and large eyes that seemed to be black.
She was said to have an extra finger on one of her hands.
Anne wasn't popular with the people of England.
She had a short temper and didn't resist in expressing her ideas.
Anne was said to have introduced new religious reforms to King Henry VIII

Nov 1, 1534

Act of Supremacy: 1534

The first of two Acts of Supremacy, this stated that Henry VIII was the “Supreme Head of the Church of England.” The main goal of this act was to firmly declare the English Monarch as the the official head of the Church of England which reduced the Catholic Pope's power. When King Henry VIII wanted to marry Anne Boleyn, the Pope would not allow the annulment. This is what desired the creation of the Act of Supremacy.

Catherine of Aragon's death

When Anne Boleyn became pregnant with Henry VIII's child, the annulment took place and Catherine of Aragon was renounced as the Queen of England.

Anne Boleyn's Death

Anne was executed by beheading. She was accused of adultry and was killed by one swift slash with a sword

Jane Seymour Marries King Henry VIII

Jane was very calm and gentle
She was said to be distantly related to King Henry VIII
Jane got married to Henry just 11 days after Anne Boleyn was beheaded
Jane never had a coronation, unlike the other 2 queens before her
Jane attended Edward's christianing while she was very weak. She died shortly after.

Interesting Facts
1. He was only ten years old when he came to the throne
2. When he was sick he named Lady Jane Grey as heir to try to stop Mary from getting the throne
3. Lady Jane Grey lasted on the throne for nine days before she was removed from it
4. He introduced a uniform Protestant service in England
5. He was a sickly child

Jane Seymour's death

Jane died two monthes after she gave birth to Edward. Her cause of death is uncertain, some people think it was from giving birth to Edward through cesarean section.
