-King Henry VIII wants to divorce his first wirfe, Catherine of Aragon so he goes to the Pope of the Roman Catholic church and rquested a divorce, the Pope however refused.
-This angered King Henry VIII so he decided to break away from the Roman Catholic church and made himself the leader of the new English church
-he had problems with the church before but the divorce issue was the last straw
-In the new church divorce was allowed but other than that they were very similar -

Anne Bolyen starts her journey as the queen of england in May of 1533 in order for King Henry to have a son.
-Anne was often depicted as having a large mole and a 6th finger, but no one truely knows.
-Anne also had many lovers during her time in england, before, and during her marriage to King Henry VIII such as the poet Sir Thomas Wyatt.
-She also agreed with the reform in religion.
-A lot of King Henrys ideas for religion came from Anne.
-Anne made many enemies on the kings court. -

Anne was accussed of cheatting and having an affair with her own brother due to the fact of her immense alone time with him. Her parents set her up to be with her brother in the future like an arranged marrige. -

-there are controversies over wether or not Jane realized that the King had fallen for her and how she felt

-She was in line to be wed after Anne if something happened. -Was only 19 when she took the thrown.
-Was burried next to Anne Bolyn, her cousin. -

Katherine Howard was beheadeddue bto the suspicion that she was fooling around with other men due to the fact that King Henry VIII was no longer young anymore, she was eventually caught and decapitated. -

- Her mother was a lady in wiating to Catherine of Aragon -Fluent in French, Latin and Italian -After learning of the arrest warrant, Katherine was said to be very ill, as a ruse to stall questions
- Her book “Prayers or Meditations” became the first work published by an English Queen under her own name

-his uncle, Edward Seymour became Lord Protector, and helped King Edward in ruling England. -the protestants were very pleased with King Edward but feared that when he died that his sister Mary would revert to Roman Catholic beliefs. -

-King edward was afraid Mary would un-do his workings so he wrote it into the line oh heir as to who would take the throne and gave it to his cousin Jane.
