    Elizabeth was born on November 12, 1815 in Johnstown, New York. She was raised by Daniel Cady and Margaret Livingston Cady. She was the 6th child born out of 11, and some of her siblings include Eleazer Cady, Harriot Cady, and Margaret Cady. Even though she had other siblings, many died at young ages and were not recroded at the time.

    Elizabeth graduated in 1832 fom the Troy Female Seminary college. Very few ladies of that time studied Latin, Greek, and math, and she was one of them. In her generation it was for likley for boys to study those subjects, but she did it.     Elizabeth married a man named Henry Staton in 1840. They had seven children (Harriot, Theodore, Gerrit, Margaret, Daniel, Robert, and Henry).     Elizabeth Cady Stanton died on October 26, 1902 in New York City, New York. She passed away at 3:00 pm in her house-the Stuart Apartemnt House. She was 86 years old and lived a great life with her friends and family.
