There were a lot of good things going on in the 60's, but the country was in so much debt and they had a war going on, and there was no way they could get enough money so they could get out of debt. -

1970's They always had a high demand in everything but they always had a low supply. There was an energy shortage because of the oil shortage going on all around them. But the debt toll actually went down. -

1980's The nation endured a deep recession through 1982. MAny companies went bankrupted as well as people did. Farners were hit hard as interest rates rose and the crops price fell. -
