Surgeons were trained in the hospital and did apprenticeships , Physician who were considered elite held degrees from the university, and Apothecaries they prescribed,made and sold medicines and where trained by way of appreticeship in the hospital.

One surgeon and two doctor boys to hold you down to complete the procedure.
