    The Count asks Harker to send three letters with different mailing dates. Jonathan suspects that his last day of life is the last date on one of the letters.

    The gypsies give the Count a letter that Hawker had written and the Count, to take preventive measures, locks Jonathan in his room.

    All of Jonathan's travel clothing and accessories have disappeared.
