  • Punk in Drublic

    Punk in Drublic
In 1994 Punk Rock started becoming a lot more popular when Green Day's album Dookie came out, and the Offspring was getting successful, NOFX's 5th album, Punk in Drublic, got the band attention and got them famous. It's still their best selling album. The album went Gold, one of the songs on the album, "Leave it Alone" was one of the first Modern Punk Rock songs to be played on the radio along with Green Day's song, Basket Case.
  • Heavy Petting Zoo

    Heavy Petting Zoo
After Punk in Drublic, the band came out with an LP entitled, Heavy Petting Zoo. The album did'nt do as well as Punk in Drublic but it raised more attention to NOFX, and made MTV's top 10 Punk Rock albums of the year, ranking at number 2. The album was banned in Germany due to the album artwork. The cover art is a man fingering a sheep.
  • Pump up the Valuum

    Pump up the Valuum
In 2000 the band came out with my personal favorite album, Pump up the Valuum. The album first got it's major notice by its rather frightening album cover. But the songs on the album are great, it features some of their most famous hits such as,
    -Dinosaurs will Die
    -My Vagina
-What's the matter with parents today
    -Herojuana
    -Thank God it's Monday.
This album perfectly captured the bands comedy and goofy songs but in each song, though they're mostly comedic and upbeat, all have really deep meanin
  • Move to Fat Wreck Records

    Move to Fat Wreck Records
NOFX got signed with Fat Wreck Records in 2003 and the first album they made while signed with FWR was "War on Errorism" which featured all political songs, mainly hating on George Bush, while also expressing their feelings towards controversial subjects such as abortion, gay rights, and terrorism. NOFX actually became one of the first Punk bands who strongly supported gay rights, even though not one member was gay, in every concert they have the rainbow gay sign hung up on the stage.
  • Controversy on TV.

    Controversy on TV.
In 2004 the band made an apperance on Conan O'Brein and performed one of their songs, Franco UnAmerican, which is all about hating Bush. Lyrics included,
We all know George Bush is an imbecile
He loves Dick but he hates homosexuals
We're sick and tired of the embarrassment
The whole world wants us to get a better president Their apperance recieved a lot of controversy
  • Never Trust a Hippie

    Never Trust a Hippie
Never Trust a Hippie was an EP released by them. The most popular song on that album is an accoustic song entitled, "You're Wrong". Which basically is stating all of their opinions on certain controversial topics and saying that anyone who disagrees is wrong. EX. Lyric: "You're wrong, about your views of christianity,
and you're wrong, if you agree with Sean Hennedy.
If you think that pride is about nationality, you're wrong."
  • First World Tour

    First World Tour
The band went on a world tour. During a concert in Isreal, the lead singer Fat Mike struck the guitar player, Melvin, in the head during the song "Bottles to the ground." Melvin wound up breaking his neck and started gushing blood out of his head on stage.

The band came out with a documentary TV show on Fuse called,

  • NOFX Today

    NOFX Today
NOFX's most recent album is an album called, Self Entitled. The band is still a favorite to most Punk Rock lovers. Although the bands popularity isnt a big as it was in the 90's and early 2000's, NOFX is still considered one of the most controversial and best Punk Rock bands of all time. And considered the Kings of Ska Punk, considering the fact that NOFX and Less Than Jake are the 2 bands that made Ska Punk popular. NOFX is my favorite band along with other peoples favorite as well.
