On A pril 16,1846 the Donner party left Springflied,Illinois.They are trying to get to the Bay of San Francisco.On September 1,1846 the Donner party took the "Hastings Cutoff" they were suppose to save 3 hundreed miles but instead they had walk more ( Source# 5)
