  • School Walk Out

    School Walk Out
    Students of all ages walked out of class to protest gun violence in America. This event was in reaction to a recent trend of school shootings, the most recent at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland Florida. Several of the students from that high school went on to be leaders of the movement and pushed for legislation on the national level. The movement centered around hostage "enough."
  • Storm Area 51

    Storm Area 51
    Facebook event "Storm Area 51, They Can't Stop Us All" was created to advocate for people to raid Area 51. The US Government took the event as a serious security threat and warned anyone that attempted to ender would be met with force. On the day of the event, several hundred people showed up outside Area 51, but there was no serious attempts to ender the premises.

    People and businesses posted black squares across various social media platforms to show solidarity with the black community and protest police brutality. The event was sparked by the killing of George Floyd and was followed by months of protests across the country.
