  • Chinese Traters

    Zheng may have came in 1432. Chinese Traters began saling in the are around 400 AD. they sailed in ships. they where headed to the spice islands to trade. their ships may have sailed into the water5s North of Austraila. the Aborignes told stories about people with golden skin. this could have ment the Makassans.
  • Portugues

    In 1520 there was no evidence to prove that Portugueses made it to Avstraila but portuguese maps showed the rocks and reefs of the Great Barrire Reef. Jakie French ship wrecks ,sailers and 60006.
  • SPANISH EXPLORATION

    in 1606 Torres and Quiros led three Spanish ships on an expedition from Peru,in South Amerca to find the Great South Land. they saild across the Picafic Ocean going as far as Vanuatu. they beleved that they had landed on an island that was part of the great southern continent.
  • Able Tasmian (1st voyage)

    Able Tasmian's first voyage was in 1642. He came from Batavia in 2 ships caled Zeehaen and Heemskerck. he came to map New Hollan he also named Tasmania van. Diemands land,discovered the Island of New Zeland. Tasmans crew heard people in the bush an saw smoke from fires.

    Able tasmians 2nd voyage was in 1644. he was sent tback to try to map all of New hollan and to make contact whith the Indiginous Austraila. He couldn't find apassage through to Torras strait to get to the east coast.
  • Makassan Contact

    The Makassans came from the Indonesian archepelago. They came in boats called praus. The boats could only hold 30 crew. They came to fish for sea cumcumber, so they could sell it to the Chinese. They traded cloth, tobacco, axes, knives rice and gin with the Indigineous Australians.
