the wurundjeri people seached and sighted at the area around the Yarra river. The area soon beame very special to them as they has many very special ceremonies at this place. -

John Dight purchased block 88 and when he purchased it he searched around and beagn to build on the land. He then built the weir and succeded. -

John dight then moves to Port Phillip, he continued with his flour mill buisness even when he moved to Port Phillip. -

John Dight built his flour mill in 1841 and then after it was finished built, they began to collect water from the weir and use it for the flour mill process. -
the flour mill stoped operting in 1909
Ever scincethe flour mill was open it had been working well until in 1909 the mill began to become faulty. it then stopped opearting and nobdody used it. -
the weir was removed for a fish lader
the weir was not helping the fish's lifes to expand and carrie on as they were getting stuck trying to enter the weir. so they built a fishway which helped them get through.
