    Battle of Lexington and Concord
    These were the first battles of the Revolutionary War. It was fought between a small group of minutemen and 700 British troops led by Gneral Thomas Gage. This battle illustrated how deeply divided the colonists were from Britain
  • Fort Ticonderoga

    Fort Ticonderoga
    This battle was to capture a fort held by british troops since 1759. It was captured by Ethan Allen and his Green Mountain Boys, assisted by General Benedict Arnold. By capturing this fort it allowed colonists to capture heavy artillery to use later in the war
  • Battle of Bunker (Breed's) Hill

    Battle of Bunker (Breed's) Hill
    The Battle of Bunker Hill was and important battle during the American Revolution. It was fought by the colonists, led by Colonel William Prescott and the British under the command of General William Howe. This battle was important to the revolution because it showed that the relatively unskilled and poorly armed colonists could fight evenly with the powerful, well-trained British Army.

    This were large, important battles during the American Revolution. They were fouht between American Generals Horatio Gates and Benedict Arnold, and British General John Burgoyne. This battle was important because it brought the French into war to help the colonists

    Battles of Trenton and Princeton
    These two major battles were fought between General George Washington and British Generals Sir Willaim Howe and Lord Cornwallis. These battles were key because they kept the American morale alive and were the first successes of George Washington's campaign.
  • Siege of Charleston

    Siege of Charleston
    This battle was fought by British General Henry Clinton and American General Benjamin Lincoln. After sieging the city, Clinton took the majority of soldiers as prisoners.
  • Battle of King's Mountain

    Battle of King's Mountain
    This battle was fought by a group of frontiersman. They surrounded and killed or captured almost all 1,100 soldiers led by British Major Patrick Ferguson
  • Battle of Yorktown

    Battle of Yorktown
    This battle was fought by British General Cornwallis. This battle was crucial to the revolution because it ended with the surrender of Cornwallis and led to Parliament wanting to end the war.
