With the success Dr. Dre had with the group N.W.A, Dre came along with his solo rap album called The Chronic. Despite the risk of becoming a solo artist, Dr. Dre did well with his album selling over 5.7 million over the unites states which led to Dr. Dre becoming one of the top ten best-selling American performing artists of 1993.
