Day of the Triffids

  • Bill Masen is born.

  • Triffids start to appear around the world.

  • Bill is temporarilly blinded by a triffid sting and enters a hospital.

    The night that the comets come and blinds anyone that looks at them.

  • Bill wakes up in the hospital

    Bill wakes up in the hospital but finds that everyone is bind. He leaves the hospital tying to find out what happened.

  • Bill meets Josella

    Bill first meets Josella Playton when he saves her from a blind man who has taken her hostage becuase she could see.

  • Bill and Josella go to the University

    Billl and Josella see the lights from the University and travel there. They then join Colonel's group.

  • Some of the University people are captured by Coker and his gang

    Bill is captured by Coker's group where he is forced to help the binld people find food and suppiles.

  • Bill leaves Coker's group and tries to find Josella

    Most of Bill’s party either dying of the plague or has fled. He tries to find Josella but fails and returns to the University where he meets Coker again. They decide to work together to find Josella.

  • Bill and Coker leave London for Tynsham

  • Bill and the others begin searching for Josella and the Beadley party.

  • Bill goes to Sussex to look for Josella and he finds Susan

    Bill decides to go to Sussex to look for Josella and leaves the Beaminster party where he finds Susan.

  • Bill and Susan find Josella

    Bill and Susan continue onto Sussex. They find Josella and Shirning late in the evening.

  • Bill goes to Tynsham

    Bill drives to Tynsham and finds it deserted except for dead bodies.

  • Bill and Josella's first child, named David, is born.

  • Beadley's group moves to the Isle of Wight.

  • Bill and Josella meet Ivan Simpson

    Bill and Josella visit the coast. They see the helicopter and meet Ivan Simpson.

  • Bill and the others leave for the Isle of Wight

    Torrence visits Shirning so, late at night, Bill and the others leave for the Isle of Wight.
