At the age of 22 Charles Darwin went on a voyage along side Captain FitzRoy on the HMS Beagle around the world. They trip lasted 5 years total. On this 5 year trip he visited the Galapagos where he filled countless books about animals, plants, and geology while collecting thousands of specimens. which all help him in further study
